Thank you all for coming to the March Charity Lunch! On this month’s committee was Ste Headley, Ruth Aluko, and Saif Mohammed, who all got to donate £1000 to a charity of their choice.
Firstly, we supported Ste’s cause, which was supporting St. Steven’s School in getting some much-needed books. During the COVID pandemic, students have missed out on a lot of learning, so the books that are being bought with our donation will give them a chance to catch up and stay on track.
Then we donated to Ruth’s chosen charity, which is Trinity Food Bank. A member of the Bury Community Support Network, Trinity Food Bank not only supply food for those in need across Bury and Radcliffe , but also offer energy advice, signpost to other services, and also offer a low level mental health service.
Finally, we donated to Rainbow Trust, Saif’s charity of choice. Rainbow Trust are the premier organisation dedicated to offering invaluable emotional and practical assistance to families navigating the challenges of having a child with a life-threatening or terminal illness. We recognise the importance of their work in providing support during such difficult times, do we are honoured to contribute to their mission of bringing comfort and relief to those in need.
