Rakem Ltd Sustainability and Corporate Social Responsibility Statement

At Rakem Ltd, we are committed to operating our business in a sustainable and responsible manner. We recognise that our activities have an impact on the environment, society, and economy, and we strive to minimise the negative effects and maximise the positive ones. We aim to create value for our customers, suppliers, employees, shareholders, and communities, while respecting the principles of environmental protection, human rights, and ethical conduct.

      Our Approach

We follow a three-pillar approach to sustainability and corporate social responsibility: environmental, social, and governance (ESG). We integrate ESG factors into our decision-making processes, risk management, and performance measurement. We also report on our ESG performance and progress regularly and transparently, in accordance with the Global Reporting Initiative (GRI) standards and the United Nations Global Compact (UNGC) principles.

      Our Focus Areas

We focus on the following areas where we believe we can make the most positive impact and contribution:

      • Environment: We aim to reduce our environmental footprint by optimising our energy efficiency, water consumption, waste management, and greenhouse gas emissions. We also promote the use of renewable and alternative sources of energy and materials, and support the development and distribution of eco-friendly and biodegradable products. We comply with all relevant environmental laws and regulations, and seek to exceed them where possible.
      • Social: We care about the well-being and development of our people, customers, suppliers, and communities. We provide a safe, healthy, and inclusive work environment for our employees, and offer them opportunities for learning and growth. We respect the diversity and dignity of all our stakeholders, and uphold the highest standards of human rights and labour practices. We also engage with our local communities and support various social and charitable causes that align with our values and vision.
      • Governance: We conduct our business with integrity, accountability, and transparency. We adhere to the principles of good corporate governance, and follow the best practices and codes of conduct in our industry. We maintain a robust internal control system, and implement policies and procedures to prevent and detect fraud, corruption, bribery, and other unethical behaviours. We also ensure that we comply with all applicable laws and regulations, and respect the interests of all our stakeholders.

      Our Commitment

We are committed to continuous improvement and innovation in our sustainability and corporate social responsibility performance. We welcome feedback and dialogue from our stakeholders, and seek to collaborate with them to address the challenges and opportunities in our industry and society. We believe that by working together, we can create a more sustainable and responsible future for everyone.
