Orgal CX 3060

ORGAL® CX 3060 is an APEO-free, very high Tg styrene acrylic copolymer emulsion designed for use in industrial coatings where high chemical resistance is required.

ORGAL® CX 3060 is especially suitable for the formulation of wood lacquers, metal topcoats, and plastic coatings requiring excellent chemical resistance. Key features include:

• Excellent resistance to alcohol and plasticizers
• Hard, abrasion-resistant films
• Good gloss in pigmented systems
• Good humidity resistance

For effective film formation, the addition of coalescents and/or plasticizers such as 10% butyl diglycol and 3.5% DBP is recommended. Combining with urethane dispersions enhances abrasion resistance and film-forming capability. For improved adhesion on plastic substrates, ORGAL® CX 3060 should be combined with adhesion-promoting acrylic emulsions.

To ensure safe storage, containers should be well sealed to prevent water evaporation and skin formation. The emulsion must be stored between 5-25°C for a maximum of 12 months, avoiding freezing. Direct exposure to UV light may darken the color.
