Eurominerals Intalc is a versatile tri-octahedral layered mineral (phyllosilicate) with a distinctive lamellar structure. Its general chemical composition is Mg3Si4O10(OH)2, making it a soft mineral with a Mohs hardness of 1. It is chemically inert, insoluble in acids, and has a specific gravity ranging from 2.58 to 2.83 g/cm³.
The unique properties of Intalc, such as its narrow particle size distribution and reduced fine fraction, make it suitable for preventing “”pinholes”” and cracks. Additionally, products like Intalc 12060LA and 6020LA provide higher whiteness (up to 92% FMY), lower oil absorption, and improved dispersibility, offering an alternative to mica/mica composites.
