Blanc Fixe F (Synthetic)

BLANC FIXE™ F synthetic barium sulfate is produced from highly purified solutions in a defined growth process. The product is resistant to acids and alkalis, insoluble in water and organic solvents. It is color neutral due to low refractive index (1.64 of BaSO₄) and has an extremely narrow particle size range for glossy specifications. The low specific surface area (<5 m²/g) and low abrasiveness (due to low Mohs hardness of ca. 3) make BLANC FIXE™ F synthetic barium sulfate easy to wet and disperse.

• Acts as spacers for TiO₂ and color pigments, providing stabilization against flocculation, enabling higher solid contents in dispersions
• Light fastness and weather resistant
• Assists gloss adjustment, rheology control, and enhances mechanical properties

As for all fine powders, the handling of synthetic barium sulfate can give rise to airborne dust. Good industrial hygiene practice should be observed to avoid the generation and subsequent inhalation of dust. For more information, refer to the material safety data sheet.

Keep the product unstacked in dry and closed rooms at normal temperature and air humidity. To achieve the best possible results, we recommend storage under the conditions stated above and use within 12 months from delivery.
