Supporting Bury Hospice

This week, we received some disheartening news from a local charity we regularly support, Bury Hospice. Unfortunately, Bury Hospice has been the victim of a robbery, resulting in the theft of four sets of outdoor furniture from their serene Japanese garden, a space where patients often find solace and relaxation.

Helen Lockwood, Chief Executive of Bury Hospice, expressed her deep sorrow, stating, “On behalf of our staff, patients, and the community who contribute tirelessly to the running of this hospice, I am devastated that some people find it acceptable to take these away from our patients and their families at the most difficult of times.”

Despite this unfortunate event, the resilience and generosity of the community have shone through. The stolen garden furniture has already been replaced, demonstrating the community’s unwavering support for the hospice. In addition, we are pleased to announce that we have decided to donate £1,000 to purchase a much-needed mattress for Bury Hospice.

However, the hospice still needs seven more mattresses to reach their goal and ensure the comfort and care of their patients. We would like to extend an invitation to all local companies in our district to join us in supporting this worthy cause. Your contribution can make a significant difference in the lives of those at Bury Hospice.

To offer your assistance and help them reach their goal, please contact Nina Camplin at ninacamplin@buryhospice.org.uk. Together, we can help Bury Hospice continue to provide a comforting and supportive environment for their patients and their families during the most challenging times. Thank you for your generosity and community spirit.
