Kemfloor is a high-performance superplasticiser that is designed to be used in a wide range of screed applications including pumpable, flowable, and semi-dry. The specially designed formulation of Kemfloor has excellent dispersion properties, resulting in improved workability, high water reduction, increased early strength development, reduced drying times, and shrinkage. These performance benefits produce a screed with increased durability and allow for the faster application of subsequent floor coverings.
Kemfloor has been designed to be used with all cement-based semi-dry screed applications and flooring types:
* Screed should be laid in accordance with BS8204.
Property | Value |
---|---|
Appearance | Brown / light brown liquid |
pH | 5.5 – 6.5 |
Bulk Density | 1.015 ± 0.03 g/ml |
Water Solubility | Completely soluble |
The dosage rate is dependent on the screed mix design, process, and types of materials used. Recommended dosage levels are in the range of 0.4% – 1.0% by weight of cement.
It is recommended that a small trial mix using Kemfloor is completed before final application to gauge mixing water required and to assess dose and open times.
For further technical information, please contact your Cemkem Sales Representative.
Add Kemfloor to the screed mix after the addition of the required gauging water. Mix for at least 1 minute prior to screed application. Never add Kemfloor to the dry mix ingredients and never reactivate screed mortar which is already setting. The application should ideally be completed within the temperature range of +5°C to max. +25°C (ambient and substrate temperature).
* A confirmation of the residual moisture content of the screed should be undertaken before the application of subsequent floor coverings. Installation of subsequent floor coverings must follow manufacturer’s instructions.
Kemfloor has a shelf life of 12 months if stored in its original packaging. It must be stored between a temperature range of +5°C and +35°C. The product could potentially settle if it is exposed to temperatures below 5°C; this can be reversed by thawing and agitating thoroughly. Shake before use.
Full MSDS available on request. Avoid contact with skin and eyes. Protective goggles, gloves, and dust masks should be worn at all times. The product is not classified according to the CLP regulation.
Kemfloor is supplied in 25 L jerry cans and 1,000 L IBC.
