CALIGHT 40 is a calcium aluminate cement with a content of approximately 40% Al2O3, produced in a furnace using a melting process based on bauxite and limestone.
The cement is not only used for its resistance to high temperatures (refractory, barbecues, and fireplaces) but also as a binder for making industrial floors because of its abrasive and chemical resistance. The cement is also suitable for working at low temperatures.
Mixing with Portland cement gives a cement with a rapid set, ideal for making quick repairs and as a water plug. Past experience teaches us to be careful when using calcium aluminate cement in outdoor applications.
