Blanc Fixe Micro (synthetic)

BLANC FIXE™ Micro is a high-purity synthetic barium sulfate, produced from highly purified solutions through a defined growth process. The product is organically treated, resistant to acids and alkalis, insoluble in water and organic solvents, and largely free of impurities such as quartz. It is color-neutral due to its low refractive index (1.64 of BaSO₄). The product offers an extremely narrow particle size range for high gloss specifications, high brilliance in colored systems, low specific surface area (<5 m²/g), and low abrasiveness due to a low Mohs hardness of approximately 3, making it easy to wet and disperse.

• Acts as spacers for TiO₂ and color pigments, providing stabilization against flocculation and enabling higher solid contents in dispersions.
• Lightfastness and weather-resistant.
• Assists in gloss adjustment, rheology control, and enhancement of mechanical properties.

• Store in dry, closed rooms at normal temperature and air humidity.
• Use within 6 months from delivery for best results.

• As with all fine powders, the handling of synthetic barium sulfate can generate airborne dust.
• Good industrial hygiene practices should be observed to avoid dust generation and inhalation.
