BRB Siloen® WA 263

BRB Siloen® WA 263 is a Silicone-Polyether Copolymer solution.

Silicone surfactant for aqueous coatings with excellent wetting and leveling properties.

• Dispersible in water
• Provides strong decrease in surface tension, improving rapid wetting and leveling of water-based coatings
• No or very little foam stabilization
• Does not increase surface slip
• Recoatability not affected

• Low surface tension (typically 22.3 mN/m at 0.1% in water)
• Hydrolytically stable between pH 4-10

BRB Siloen® WA 263 is recommended for all aqueous coatings, printing inks, and overprint varnishes. It should be added to the finished formulation or during the let-down stage.

Typical dosage (in % of additive as supplied into the coatings):

• Automotive coatings: 0.1 – 2.0%
• Industrial coatings: 0.2 – 2.0%
• Architectural coatings: 0.2 – 2.0%
• Decorative coatings: 0.2 – 2.0%
• Printing inks and varnishes: 0.2 – 2.0%
• Wood and furniture coatings: 0.2 – 2.0%
• Inkjet inks: 0.2 – 2.0%
• Leather pre-primers, primers, and topcoats (polyurethane, acrylic, nitrocellulose, and casein binders): 0.2 – 2.0%
