BRB Siloen® PDA 222

BRB Siloen® PDA 222 is an alkyl-modified siloxane designed as a pigment dispersant additive.

Dispersant processing aid for pigments, fillers, and additives used in paints or plastic applications.

• Liquid, easy to handle
• Improves dispersion properties of inorganic fillers (e.g., TiO₂, talc), organic and inorganic pigments, as well as flame retardants
• Can be used as a liquid dispersant in masterbatch manufacturing

• Higher heat resistance than organic dispersants, avoiding yellowing

Treat pigments by spray drying or during the grinding operation. BRB Siloen® PDA 222 is highly temperature resistant, even when grinding the pigment above 200°C.

• For titanium dioxide, depending on the quality used, dosage can range from 0.5% to 4%. Lower TiO₂ quality requires higher BRB Siloen® PDA 222 dosage.
• For masterbatch manufacturing, BRB Siloen® PDA 222 is generally dosed between 1% to 3%, allowing up to 30–40% organic pigment filling.

BRB Siloen® PDA 222 is compatible with PE, EVA, PP, PA, PET, and PBT polymers. It complies with FDA 21 CFR 178.3725 (Pigment dispersants) for use as a pigment dispersant in all polymers at levels up to 0.5% by weight of the pigment.
