BRB Siloen® 5022 WR

BRB Siloen® 5022 WR is a water-thinnable, solventless silane/siloxane emulsion concentrate.

• Masonry water repellents: Ideal for porous mineral and alkaline surfaces such as bricks, tiles, limestone, sandstone, concrete, and mortar.
• Water repellent primers: Used for emulsion paints, plasters, and concrete coatings. Can also be applied as an admixture in acrylic primers for producing film-forming impregnating agents for subsequent over-coating with masonry paints.
• Impregnation of building materials: Suitable for clay, concrete, aerated concrete, sand-lime brick, fibrous cement, mineral fibers, and lightweight aggregate.

As a masonry water repellent

Prepare solutions of BRB Siloen® 5022 WR with tap water to an active substance content of 5% to 10% (dilute the product in a ratio of 1:4 to 1:9). For high-quality concrete, a 1:2 dilution ratio may be required. Stir solutions before use to maintain homogeneity. Apply using a brush, roller, or low-pressure airless sprayer. The substrate must be dry and clean. Avoid applying during rain or on extremely hot substrates. Apply two wet-on-wet flood coats for full coverage. The water-repellent effect develops within minutes, achieving optimal performance in a few days.

As an impregnating agent for construction materials

Construction materials can be impregnated with diluted solutions of BRB Siloen® 5022 WR at a 1:20 to 1:50 ratio, depending on the material and application method (e.g., spraying or dipping). Stir solutions before use to maintain consistency.
