Masonry water repellent: BRB Siloen® WRC4 is typically applied undiluted in one layer in the desired thickness depending on the substrate conditions (porosity, humidity, etc.). The substrates to be treated should be dry (less than 5% surface moisture) and clean. Cracks bigger than 0.3 mm have to be repaired before the treatment. In the case of new concrete, it is recommended to wait at least four weeks (aging) before treating with BRB Siloen® WRC4.
On large surfaces, BRB Siloen® WRC4 is typically applied by an airless gun, while on smaller areas the product can be applied with a trowel followed by a roller to get a uniform coat-weight.
Typical dosage depends on porosity and humidity of the building material, generally between 100 to 700 gr/m² applied. Avoid applying too much material as it may liquefy at the surface and disappear by runoff. Protect the substrate from rain for at least 4 hours after application.
Rising Damp Proofing Chemical: BRB Siloen® WRC4 can be injected into walls affected by capillary rising damp. It disperses more homogeneously into the walls compared to higher solid products, especially in cases of moderate damp, creating a water-repellent chemical barrier.
